Outdoor Gas Fireplaces Make Excellent Centerpieces

Posted in Business on August 27th, 2009

For the last two days Marie had been glued to her laptop browsing the Internet for data, photos, and plans of outdoor fireplaces. She has read plenty of articles, gazed at hundreds of colorful pictures, and studied detailed structural plans of fireplaces. Since forever she had wanted to put up one in her backyard garden.

Her garden is her pride and joy. She spends hours tending to her flowers and plants, and even talking with them because she read somewhere that they respond to mellifluous talk. With the carefully arranged reds, yellows, violets, and greens in her garden, it is appealing as it is but she always felt something was lacking. Finally, leafing through an old copy of Architectural Digest while waiting in her dentist’s anteroom, she realized what her garden needed –a centerpiece that immediately grabs anyone’s attention. And that main attraction is going to be an outdoor fireplace.

Today she is trying to decide what kind of fireplace she wants. She didn’t realize there could be so many options. All she did the past days was to read the pros and cons of outdoor gas fireplaces, as well as log and briquettes burners. And then there are the issues of materials to be used, colors, exact location, size, design and so on and on. She still has a way to go but soon, her garden will be perfect.

Buying the Right Travel Medical Insurance

Buying the Right Travel Medical Insurance

People travel for a lot of reasons. They travel for business reasons, for employment, to visit relatives and friends, and for vacations. Business and professional travels should be as smooth and trouble-free as they can possibly be so as not to disrupt the whole purpose of the travel. Visits and vacations are supposed to be fun occasions. However, these are not always the case. Sometimes, unfortunate mishaps happen while you are someplace far from the comforts of your own home. This is where the need for a travel medical insurance comes from.

When buying travel insurance the first place to look is your current insurance provider. As a customer, they may be able to provide you with some discount. If they quote you a price, compare it with that of other companies. This can easily be done on the Internet.

Do not focus on the cost alone. Thoroughly study the coverage of each policy. Some cover only injuries sustained due to accidents. You will need more than personal accident insurance when traveling abroad as you may also require medical services due to infections arising from hygienic and sanitary issues. Foreign food may also not suit your system. Look for a policy that covers medicines and hospitalization expenses regardless of the reason for the need. You may also want a policy that includes coverage of any pre-existing medical condition, and perhaps repatriation of mortal remains.
